this was right up there with that dumb Dougie song.. I think I missed that craze.. and Poison. uck, hair bands.

WTF Wednesday

Yep. I know it's Thursday. But yesterday was REALLY one of those days that just made me say WTF so I can't pass it up.. and, well, I was just too tired and busy to do a post yesterday. so there.

Woke up yesterday with chills, headache, backache and some other "issues"... ugh. WTF. TGFG (thank god for grandma) started my day off just awesome.

After I relaxed for a while I decided to head to the mall to get some shopping I needed to do out of the way. Seriously I think maybe 2 of the 9 stores I went into had air conditioning. really? I wasn't feeling the best anyway.. and trying things on in the dressing room when your clothes have to peel off of you because of all the sweat, well, doesn't make you want to buy anything. WTF.

After the mall I went to Famous Footwear. When I walked in I heard a voice I didn't know say "oh my god it's so good to see you! how are you doing?!!" I didn't look up. I didn't know the voice and I was in Fairview. I heard the voice keep talking. "what are you up to today?! just lookin for some new shoes?! can I help you find anything??" now I knew it was an employee and I looked up. WTF? who greets people like they went to high school together and haven't seen them since? I said in my I don't feel good leave me alone tone "I'm fine."

As I was shopping in the same store I saw a lady come in with a stroller. The same guy greeted her. "Oh hi! How are you today? What ya looking for?!" the lady said she was just looking around. The guy answered with "well, Mom shoes are over here." WWWWTTTTTFFFFFF! who says that?! the lady responded with "well, I guess I'll steer clear of that section. (rolled her eyes)" hahaha. perfect.

Then there was Rallys. Large Sweet Tea and Large Fries please!

Is this real? Ok, their large soda could hold the whole Mississippi in it and that is the large fry? WTF? talk about dissapintment! maybe it's just because I love thier fries so much.. but idk.. back to mcdonalds for this girl. Buy one get one free Big Macs for me! haha.

As this whole day is going on I keep getting texts from Brandon. my love. "hey babe! you makin BLT's for supper?!" omg. I was so tired. haha, I do love blt's.. but I HATE the smell in my house.. but that's another story. I said "I'll make BLT's if we can go Jeep shopping!" haha. that didn't happen. WTF. I went through with my end of the deal!

While I was frying up the bacon Brandon was pacing around the kitchen bossing me around like usual. I told him to get in the shower while Lyla was sleeping. He was like Erin. What happens if she wakes up?!! ONE of us is going to have to hold her and you are frying bacon! omg. Brandon, honey, you don't have to hold her AT ALL TIMES. He said "but I like to." lol, WTF. Help me out a little babe. Losing my sanity one conversation at a time......

Happy Thursday! :) I feel much better today and promise not to lose it.
BTW- watching Fox 2 news and they are saying they are gonna have a story on how the heat affects our attitude! hmmmmm. yep. blamin it on the heat.

Ok, so I am bored and looking for something to do.. because I don't feel like making supper and Lyla is sleeping and the only thing I really have left to do around the house is vacuum.. (sp? I hate that word.) Anyway Sarah over at Keeping Up With the Roscow's did this and I thought it was cute!

A Wilgraf Weekend

It's Tuesday again.. time for my weekend wrap up!
Funny.. last night I was watching Two and a Half Men and Charlie was talking about what he was gonna do that week. He said he likes to save his Monday's for hangovers and re-coup time. EXACTLY. anyway..
Friday was pretty low-key. We went to dinner at Tequila's Thursday night and I think we were both still feeling the effects the next day.. I went to get my hair done that afternoon. ahhhh, so nice for someone to do my hair for once! When I worked at the salon I always secretly wished I was the one with my head in the shampoo bowl. hehe. Anyway. That took a while. Well, because I got some highlights and my hair is naturally almost black soooo it takes some time to get it light. I ended up not getting home til almost seven. But we had a relaxing night with some kick-ass jambalaya I whipped up.
Saturday was my friend Sarah's baby shower. That morning I did her hair, made some dip for the shower, wrapped presents and got myself and a baby ready to go .. well my mom ended up helping with the baby a little lot when she came down to go to the shower with us. The shower was soooo cute. Animal print everywhere and just over the top everything. It was nuts. Like who comes home with two frying pans and wine/wine cooler cup and glass for just showing up at a shower with a gift? ha.. are we in Evansville? Anyway.. there was great food, good friends and Lyla got to hang with Stella for a bit!

After the shower I went over to Sarah's to help get everything inside.. I think we kinda thought about going through it all too.. but after we got it all in we were so hot and sweaty it just wasn't happening. Brandon came over a little later when he got off work and we played some darts in the basement (where it was so much cooler) until it was time to head to a party back at the legion. I think Brandon and I were home by 11.. long day!
Sunday was hot. (haha, it's not funny really) We slept in for a while and layed around the house. That afternoon Lyla and Daddy were gonna hang out at home while I went out with some friends. I had a great time out and I think they had a pretty good day too. Lyla is definately a Daddy's girl!

and she loves being nakey.. but that's another story:)

Thank You Thursday

Thank You computer screen for going out 3 times in the last 5 minutes. I know you're still mad that I squashed cheese in you a few weeks ago. Move on.

Thank You Tequila's for calling my name every.single.day for the last two weeks straight. It's getting out of hand.

Thank You Cassie for making me feel like a freak show because I am able to take a bath with my baby and I don't think breastfeeding is weird. Maybe you're the freak show! :) jkjk.

Thank You Sears for having exactly the swim suit I wanted for 34 dolla! ... and thank you cashier lady for wanting to sign me up for 1 million things as you can hear my tired baby fussing and being totally ready to get out of there. Sometimes you need to take no for an answer.

Thank You Gerber for making your peach baby food smell like total ass. I thought I liked you, Gerber. Looks like Lyla is getting peaches when she goes to Grandma's house!

Thank You Lively Grove for being hot enough to send everyone home from work.. except for my boyfriend. :( poor guy.

Thank you new walker toy for being my daughters new favorite. You're a lifesaver.

Thank You Amber from Teen Mom for making me feel like I am the best mom ever. You suck and I wish I could take your little girl home with me and not fight/yell/scream in front of her.

Thank You super huge fly for buzzing around my living room for the last 3 hours. I can't find you.. but you rock.

Thank You Lady Gaga for taking over my life. And when I drove my mom's car home last night without you I felt so lost. I'm turning into a monster!

bananas and cereal and spoons, oh my!

Last Monday was a big day for Lyla!! It was the first time she ate out of a spoon.. why Monday you ask? Well. you see. Lyla is eating an eight ounce bottle and I put rice cereal in it too. When we get done she is still hungry! Did any of you run into this?! And I don't think she takes as good of naps anymore because she doesn't get full enough.. I figured this was the next step even thought the doc said to wait til 6 months. I'll probably get in trouble next time we see him.. but what else was I supposed to do?!

mmmm.. this is good, Mom!

Our first food of choice? BANANAS. oh my she did so good with it too! She loves eating out of a spoon! She gets better at it every time! And last night she ate a whole container of them and an 8 ounce bottle. big girl. maybe that's why she slept for 12 hours?? :)

Ok so here's what I want to know. All you mommies out there: when did you start giving your baby solids and what did you start with? And do you have any tips for me?! I am lost on it all! ok, not that lost.. but let me know what you think! :)

A Wilgraf Vacation -Week! (a long one..)

Whew, yeah, it's been a while! I thought I was going to update a little on vaca.. that didn't happen! Nap time? what nap time?! Vacation was good, but busy busy with a baby! so, I'll wrap up the whole week!
LAST Friday we went to eat at Tequila's.. I didn't want to have dirty dishes the night before I left.. that's a good excuse for going out, right?! Brandon wanted to get in as much Lyla time as possible before we left!

I don't usually brag about my kid like this but seriously, that dress. New favorite outfit. I just think it's the cutest thing ever!!
After we got done eating we went to my parents to pack up Lyla and my stuff in my dad's truck to leave in the morning.. then went home to hang out with Daddy a little more and get a good nights sleep!

Saturday morning we left about 8:30 to meet my mom and dad to leave for Table Rock! Well, we had so much to do still that we didn't end up leaving til almost noon.. but we were there by 5 and Lyla did great on the drive!!

she has been hangin on to her car seat toys while she sleeps.. makes her feel more secure. lol.

Josie did good on the drive too! haha, yes, we had a full vehicle!

After we got to our rooms we unpacked and headed to a little pizza place to eat. My mom and dad stayed to listen to a band there and Lyla and I walked back to our room. We were tired girls!
Sunday was hot hot hot. We went for a little boat ride but came back because it was just too hot for Lyla. That night my mom and I went shopping at the Branson Landing and Grandpa hung out with Lyla back at his room. It was a good time... and just ask my mom sometime how good I can read a map! hahaha, oh lord.

Lyla stayed down in the cuddy most of the time with a fan blowin on her.. it wasn't as bad as outside.. but man it was hot! She did really good on the boat though! She fell asleep as soon as we started moving!
Monday was a little layed back. We stayed around the hotel most of the day.. went to WalMart.. and later that evening I took a ride with my Uncle on his boat with my cousin Kelly, her friend Cassie and her boyfriend Bubba. It was a great time!! I think we barbequed that night and just hung out outside.
Tuesday Brandon was coming, yayayayayayay!! Because of the heat, he got off early and could come down that afternoon! My dads boat had to be worked on that morning, so I went with him to pick it up. After that me, Lyla and my mom hit up the outlet mall. And that evening Brandon got there and Sean and Jill came too!

I know this is bad.. but Wednesday and Thursday kind of mesh together. ha.. I know one night we went to a Mexican restaurant called Tequilas.. it was SO GOOD. I really liked it! We also went to a breafast one morning at Ma's Place.. a must have when we go to table rock. And we didn't even know we would get a show with breakfast! Those waitresses were NOT getting along.. ha. We also went to the Landing just me, Brandon and Lyla one day. We ate lunch at the floating restaurant.. I think it was a Bass Pro place.. it was called The Fish House. So good! I had alligator tail. They also have huge fountains that go to music.. we watched them for so long. Made my day.

Lyla looooves her stroller and was great while we shopped! (if we stayed movin...)

Friday morning Brandon went with the rest of my family on the boat to breakfast. There was a place on the water they wanted to try. Later that day we went out on the boat with my brother and Jill while Grandma and Grandpa hung out with Lyla. We had a great day! And supper was waiting for us when we got back!

I don't think Sean needs your direction Rambo Brando. haha, yeah, we had a good time!
Saturday was a little more layed back. I went to eat with my family while Brandon and Lyla stayed back at our room. We went to Starvin Marvins! Great buffet. Great t-shirts. When we got back we had to switch rooms because the rooms we had for the week only went from Sat-Sat. I know, weird. So we did that while everyone else went boating and then took Lyla for a swim in the little pool by our room! She did sooo good.

That evening I got Brandon to take me to White Water! It's a water park in Branson. We had such a good time! We ran around like little kids. haha. They have a deal that you can come after 5 and stay til 10 for 25 bucks. Not bad at all! And they had all kinds of deals on food too. We got pretzels and pickles and nachos for 3 dollars! We had a great evening! And I think we both crashed as soon as we hit the pillow. I can't wait for Lyla to get big enough to do stuff like that! It's going to be so much fun.. we loved watching all the little kids play in the water.

Sunday it was time to go home! I think we were all ready but we has such a good time. The ride home.. well that wasn't much of a good time.. but that's another story. Oh Lyla, why can't you just sleep in the car?! Needless to say it was a pizza night. :)
