A Fireman's Wilgraf Weekend

oh hey you. Ever notice how I do my weekend wrap-up on Tuesday?? yeah.. Mondays just aren't my day.
Welllll, it was the Red Bud Fireman's Picnic this last weekend. Oh, how exciting.
Friday night I decided to take my mom up on her babysitting offer and go up to the picnic with some friends. (Brandon was at the farm... again.) So, I headed to Tequila's to meet them and head to the picnic afterwards.. I don't know if the margarita's were a good idea or a bad one. Maybe this is my apology to anyone I saw? I knew I was staying at my mom's house though so I let loose! My parent's live about 3 blocks away. Perfect for a walk home with arms full of picnic poker beer winnings, right?! oh man. that's enough about Friday.
Saturday Lyla and I hung out at Grandma's all day. Grandpa got a new boat, so we had to hang around and check that out.. and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Landgraf came down from Columbia that afternoon so we hung out and visited with them. We went home around 8 that night and Brandon pulled in the driveway at about the same time. ahhh, early night in bed! Until about 2 a.m. when the sirens went off :( I HATE waking up my sleeping baby.  But I know if something was to happen I would be SO mad at myself for not going in the basement. Of course the sirens stopped about 5 minutes after we got down there but she went right back to sleep when we got back upstairs.
Sunday was the big parade day! Lyla slept til about 7.. had a bottle and went right back to sleep til almost noon! ahhh, so nice! And Brandon had to run to the farm so Mommy slept in with her:) She took a little nap right before we had to leave that gave me and Brandon time to get ready and even time for him to get a haircut. After we were all ready we headed to Red Bud to sit at my brother's house for the parade. They live in the perfect spot and it's always a great time.

Lyla loooved the parade.. but about half way through she got pooped out! We had a good time though. Then Brandon and I headed up the the picnic later that evening for some drinks and to use up the rest of my poker chips. He even rode the ferris wheel with me! What a good boyfriend:)

Ok, here's to a good week everybody! Also, 3 things. 1.I gave up Mountain Dew.. trying to get myself to drink Diet Coke.. so watch out for crabbiness. 2.I know my header is huge.. I dom't know why. I did it the same as last time! ugh.. I will work on it! 3.scentsy is still not in................... I swear it's not my fault and I am not just keeping all your stuff for myself.

Ok, I am gonna take advantage of the weather and go for a stroll with my baby and the stroller :)

Confession Friday

I confess we have nothing to eat in our house. I mean nothing. Like, I have a list and the first five things are: milk, butter, bread, eggs and ice. (we don't have an ice maker.. and I have to have ice!) I keep trying to just make due.. cause I don't feel like going grocery shopping or spending the money.. but without those things it's pretty tough. haha.

I confess I just can't decide what to do this weekend.. I mean, I want to go to the picnic.. but I don't know when to take Lyla and when to get a babysitter. and I don't know when Brandon is not going to be at the farm.. if ever. and I don't want to regret not just staying home with my baby. cause you can't go wrong with that. Ugh.. decisions. But I think I will regret not going to the picnic too!

I confess you can find this little lady napping in my bed almost daily:

ugh.. she sleeps in her bed great at night.. but she won't nap in there for anything!!

I confess I have washed my sheets three times this week. I am obsessed with clean sheets, and I can't stop myself.. it's like as soon as they get a little loose feeling on the mattress, they get ripped off first thing in the morning. and don't even get me started on when the bleach smell goes away.

I confess I have one 4th of July decoration:

I confess Lyla is already addicted to Sesame Street. She loves it. Like, cries when it's over. And this morning I laughed out loud.. Elmo asked this bear what he was doing out in the rain and the bear goes "do bears shower in the woods?!" haha, get it.

I confess these are ruining my life:

I confess I rearranged my living room today.. cause I thought there was some space not being used very well.. and I am not sure what I think. I think I just needed a change.. and shoot it's roomy! 

the couch used to sit at an angle in the corner.. opposite the tv. I love it not but it's in front of the window.. is that bad??

and I put this chair in the weird space in the corner.. but you wouldn't be able to see the t.v. if you sat in it.. but no one sits in it anyway really.

What do you guys think?!?! other than I really need some color in my living room! help!

The funny thing about Thank You Thursday is you really don't know when I am being sarcastic do you?

Thank you Brandon for being too busy to mow the lawn 2 weeks in a row now. I mean, I like the exercise (I really do.) but the farm stuff can stop anytime now...

Thank you Charlie Sheen for saying "winning". Now every dumbass on facebook thinks they need to say it in every status update. "drinking beer. WINNING" "going on vacation. WINNING." "Taking a nap. WINNING." if you have to tell people you are winning, you probably aren't. And I don't want to hear anything about tiger blood either.

Thank you Lyla for taking 3 long naps today! I just hope you sleep tonight...

Thank you Wal-Mart for making mushroom swiss burgers that I was really excited about.. and then tasted like salisbury steak from grade school.

WTF Wednesday

Oh man! it's been a week already and it's only Wednesday. Might as well say WTF. I think I just need to go lay out! hmmmmmm.

WTF is up with Drew Carey's hair? Anybody seen The Price is Right lately?! man oh man... he has nothin on Bob.

My throat has hurt for the last week.. and I sneeze about twenty times a day. WTF it's almost July.. allergy season needs to be over!!

Lyla is almost 4 months old and she still spits up like a mad woman. WTF. It breaks my heart! Why don't doctors figure something out about this?! I don't get why they don't care.

I'm usually really good about keeping my house clean. But this week I have been looking for any excuse to get out of here. WTF? I usually love staying home as much as possible. it's weird. My house is so gross! But I still want to go lay by the pool today!

WTF is up with some people thinking they know everything there is to know about kids?! and shutting you right down if you try to even give your opinion or say what worked for you and your child.. so over it. No one knows everything! We are ALL learning every day even if you don't want to admit it.

Got up this morning to find a frozen beer exploded and broken in the freezer. WTF.. not what I wanted to be doing at 7 a.m.... Come on!

Blogger not letting me upload photos... WTF! who wants to read this crap without any pictures? not me. and I wrote it.

WTF is up with the price difference in child carriers?! I am going to order one like, today.. because I think I would get so much more done. But seriously they range from like 15-150 bucks! So weird! And I don't see what could be the big difference in them..

I think Brandon is going to say WTF when he sees me wearing our child around.

He's really going to say WTF when I tell him he has to wear her too!

A Wilgraf Weekend

Hey hey hey! Happy wednesday everybodyyyy! The sun looks pretty nice out there.. I think it's callin my name! I don't think I did a weekend recap this week so I'll give you a short one!
Friday Lyla and I went shopping with grandma. We got Lyla a walker! (her feet don't touch the ground yet.. but she loves it!) pics to come... That night we went to Tequila's with my mom, dad and aunt and well... Lyla wasn't having it. So Aunt Jill to the rescue. She was getting ready to leave and took Lyla with her.. I think they had a good time riding around.
Saturday we just hung out at home all day and went to the St.Boniface Parish Picnic that evening. Lyla loooved it. She was showing off her smile to everyone. Mommy and Daddy had a good time too!

Sunday was Father's Day and we ran around like crazy alllll day. Lyla didn't like it much.. for some reason she is not too big on sleeping in the car. ugh.. she needs to get over that real quick! Anyway.. we had lunch at Doreen's in Sparta, went to Wal-Mart to get pictures developed, Brandon's Dad's, Brandon's Grandpa's.. then supper at Mary's with my parents. after figuring out that the winery was closed and Waterstreet closed their kitchen at 6. (?!?!?!) yes, we even walked the extra long flood plank with the stroller. Momma not happy! whew.. it was a long day. I think we all crashed as soon as we got home!

WTF Wednesday

WTF have I been doing the past couple of weeks that I couldn't find the time to do WTF Wednesday?!

We SO many birds living in our trees. like SO MANY. WTF. We were sitting outside at sundown the other night and it was like we were going to get attacked. It was nuts. I know there are a couple of nests but I guess there are a lot more I can't see up there.. never seen such craziness.

This would be because Tony TOLD me there was bird poop in my hair.. there wasn't. WTF.

I grilled for the first time last night.. I swear if the cops would have drove by they would have stopped because it looked like my house was on fire.. WTF! So much smoke. haha.

Wanted to buy Fantasia the other day for Lyla cause I think she would looove it... 30 bucks. WTF!

Brandon told me the other night (when I was buggin him about getting engaged) that he is gonna pick a day and mark it in his little calendar book and every day I am mean or say something rude or make fun of him he is crossing off a day. WTF!! hahaha.

I'm getting a massage today. Don't be jealous wtf?!

A Wilgraf Weekend

Our weekend was great! I have to say it was a little more relaxed for me and I LOVED it.
Let's start a day early with Thursday.. My Scentsy party turned out great!! My Mom came over early that day and helped me get ready.. By about 5:30 everything was about ready and people started showing up around six. We had little bacon wrapped weenies, veggie pizza, fruit pizza, cheese dip, and buffalo chicken dip. ahhh, all the food was great! it was a lot of work but it was so worth it. I also made wineritas and I have to say they went over very well! Oh and I can't forget the rice crispie treats! I had somewhere between ten and fifteen people and I got tons of good stuff! Thank you everyone for coming! we should get our Scentsy products by the end of the week!
Well, Brandon and I stayed up WAY past our bedtime that night.. especially because last week he started at 5 a.m. every morning. The party lasted a little longer than I thought it would! So on Friday I made Brandon's favorite supper (spaghetti) and we watched American Pickers all night.. one of our favorite shows:) Lyla was a little angel and went to sleep and like 7:30! so we were in bed shortly after. Ahhh, it was so nice just to relax with him.
Saturday Brandon was off to work and Lyla and I stayed around the house. I had planned on taking Lyla swimming at Aunt Jill's but I guess she had different plans because she went to sleep at about 1:30 and I had to wake her up at 4:45! That was ok though because it was nice to just hang out at home too. That night we went to get pedi's with my Mom and Aunt Brenda met us too. We also got to eat at my new favorite place: Fazoli's. OMG. I love it.. why am I just now finding this place?! I need to get out more. We also went to Best Buy because I had to return something.. and I got this baby:

If you don't have it. Get it. Love it. I am in love! Never knew she could sing like that.
ANYWAY.
It was a late night for me and Lyla and an even later night for Brandon. He went to the Willie Nelson concert and didn't get home til almost one.. that means he was awake for about 22 hours.. but a little birdie told me he might not have been completely awake for the whole thing. Poor guy. He works so hard for us! Finally when he got home I could actually sleep and we were all in bed til about 7 the next morning. After we layed around for a while I texted the Schenk's and we all decided to barbeque at our house. I called the Walter's to come down and hang out with us too.Brandon's brother Nick stopped by and we asked him to stick around and join us too! We made so much great food. Kabobs, corn on the cob, hash brown casserole, broccoli cheese casserole, brownies, baked beans and a big fat watermelon. mmm it was great. And of course I had left over wineritas! But the two prego's had to miss out. Only a couple months!

Lyla slept that day from 2 til almost 5! So we put the monitor on and let her go. She took another little nap later that evening and then was in bed again by 9:30 or so. But when she was awake to see everybody she really enjoyed herself I think:)

I think the Schenk's got a little taste of how much work a tiny baby is gonna be! But I think they can handle it;) Later that evening I convinced the boys to play a game of Phase 10 with me. I love that game! Brandon didn't do very well and of course it was my fault. haha. But we all had a great time! And the weather was BEAUTIFUL for being outside with babies all day/evening. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and I know we all had full bellies. :o)

Fess UP!!!

Ok, I know it's Saturday.. but I am bored and Lyla is having a great time kicking her toys in her bouncer and watching the VH1 countdown. haha.

I confess since Lyla was born I haven't seperated any laundry except for my sheets. I used to be so good at doing whites, colored and Brandon's nasty jeans.. but now.. it all goes in together. I'm gonna be mad at myself soon when we are the "dingy white family"

I confess I took a shower at my brother's yesterday. And they don't know it. I was swimming in their pool and I got out and thought.. hey I could take a shower without a baby crying, so I went for it! weird? whatev.

I confess I cooked supper 4 out of the 5 weeknights this week! that is amazing for me.

I confess I couldn't sleep this morning so I brought Lyla to bed with me when she could have easily went back to her bed after her bottle. For some reason she relaxes me!

I confess my water bill has been 2 days late for the past like 4 months.. I get a late notice every time and I never pay the late fee.

I confess that every time I drink lately I feel like I need to apologize to everyone I know the next day. I just don't think I am used to the feeling of alcohol yet.. and I definately don't have a tolerance like I used to.

I confess I think I am the only one in America not going to see Willie Nelson today.. or that's how I feel! But really, the heat and huge crowds are just not my thing.

I confess I can not wait to get my Scentsy stuff I ordered the other day! But I don't want my house to smell like a million different flavors either!

I confess I watched an infomercial for some workout video for probably a half hour this morning.. thinking I need it and how I am going to ask Brandon for the money to buy it. Really Erin?

I confess I use Lyla's baby bath in my bath almost every day.

I confess I have 20 followers! TWENTY! I am damn interesting obviously.

I confess I am getting off a here! Lyla needs a nap so we can go swimming with Aunt Jill and Grandma later!

WT... wait, it's Thursday?!

Ok, so I missed WTF Wednesday. I'm feelin all stressed out about it, cause you gotta say WTF at least once a week right? But I have been doing some brainstorming... and well I think I might have a new idea! Do any of you watch Jimmy Fallon? Yeah, I don't stay up that late either. But I hear he has a new segment with Thank You's. Kinda like how Letterman has the top ten list? anyway I have been thinking maybe I'll do a thank you Thursday! I'll give you a sneak peek.

Stylish? pppssssshhh.

So I got this Stylish Blogger Award from Sarah... Thanks Sarah! But really.. I thought you were going to stop people pleasing?! haha. I'm not stylish, and my blog is not either.. but you people are reading it so I guess I am pretty freaking interesting or you are pretty freaking bored. OK, so I am supposed to give 7 facts about me I think and then nominate someone. Let's start with the facts.

1. I absolutely love going out to eat. I could go out every.single.day. I am so glad my boyfriend loves it too.. we probably spend way too much money.. but hey, you only live once right?!

2. I won't flush the toilet before or while I am brushing my teeth. I am convinced toilet water will come out the faucet.

3. I shave my legs every day. And if there is some reason why I don't or can't, I don't sleep good at all. I can't stand the feeling of stubble in my sheets. I seriously can't understand why some people think it's a big deal to shave them.. it takes me maybe 3 minutes and it feels oh.so.good.

4. I am a Momma's girl. I think my Mom knows about 90% of the things I do.. it's sad really. lol. And I think Lyla is a Momma's girl in the making. (I hope)

5. I want chickens. Like bad. Real bad. Brandon says no.. we live in town. But one day we will live in the country in our brand new house we built and our pond with the weeping willow by it.. and chickens.

6. I love having people over. When people stop by or Brandon's friends are here when I get home I secretly get real excited. And I hate it when they have to leave. Ok, is that creepy?

7. I am a daytime tv junkie. Love it. Ellen, Days of our Lives.. oh me oh my. But you people knew that one didn't you?

A hot hot hot Wilgraf Weekend

I mean really.. does it need to be this hot already?! awful. And baby does NOT like it. Ugh, neither does her Momma. Hey up there, give us a break! Seriously tornadoes, earthquakes, cold spring, now super hot, crazy bugs....... I think someone is trying to tell us something.
ANYWAY. Our weekend was so busy! as usual. On Friday my brother Dustin and his fiance Melissa came to town because we were having her bridal shower on Saturday. Her parents and sister came too! Friday night we all just talked and had dinner and drinks at the winery. Of course me and Lyla got out of there kind of early because of the heat.. and their air conditioner was just not doing the trick. I mean come on.. my skirt was soaken wet when we left.. and yes, we were sitting inside! yuck. But it was so nice to see them! And Melissa's family is sooo nice. Of course I had some artichoke and spinach dip.. that made everything great!
Saturday was the crazy day. Lyla and I got up and had baths and got to Red Bud by ten something. Of course my hair was still damp, no makeup and my dress needed ironing. Yes, I am a new Mom. I had the bride to be's hair to do, a cake to pick up, decorating to be done.. and the shower started at one in Waterloo. But hey, I pulled it off, and it was great!

After the shower was over we packed up our cars and got back in some air conditioning. (for some reason that place didn't have good air either! maybe I am just a baby about being hot..) Us girls all took a little nap then headed over to Sean and Jill's for some swimming. The guys were coming too, they had been at the Cardinal's game all day right in the sun! Well, not Brandon. Brandon was at the farm all weekend.. but the corn and beans are all in the ground! ANYWAY.. it was Lyla's first time in the pool! and I think she loved it!

Sunday morning we all met for breakfast at Tequila's. num num num. It was yummy in my tummy. Why was I the only one who ordered a margarita?? haha. And Brandon could actually come too! ahhh, finally me and Lyla got to see him for more than 5 minutes! but then, back out to the beans. After breakfast Dustin and Melissa were packed up and headed back home to Lisle. It was a great weekend! But man, the heat is killin me! Hope you all had a good one too.. I think we'll take it easy this week here at the Wilgraf household!

Confession Friday

I confess Lyla is laying in my lap as I type because she is attached to my hip today.

I confess that Bubble Guppies has been on for the last hour or so and I keep telling myself that I leave it on because Lyla likes it.. but really I am just too lazy to get up and get the remote.

I confess that I have SO MUCH to be doing today and I just keep playing on the computer. I have bottles and clothes to wash and a million things to get ready for my brother's fiance's shower this weekend.... but I haven't got to sit on the couch with my baby in a week.. so that's what I am doing.

I confess that I am really excited about Dustin and Melissa coming this weekend because I think they have NO idea how much Lyla has changed and I can't wait for them to see her!

I confess the way Lyla grabs on to me now every time I pick her up melts my heart.

I confess I wish it would rain because I haven't seen my boyfriend for more than 5 minutes since Monday.

I confess I didn't get a ring for my birthday. haha, I really wasn't expecting one but it woulda been fun right?!

I confess the other night someone was telling me how much they hate it when moms keep putting the pacifier back in a baby's mouth when the baby keeps spitting it out. And the whole time I was thinking: that's me.

I confess I made supper last night for the first time in over a week. Meatloaf.

I confess I really need to get up and do something....

Quarter Life Crisis.

Am I 25 already?? really?
And I have a 3 month old baby?! really??
And I have lived with my boyfriend for over a year in our house?! really??

I pulled into the carwash the other day and looked back to Lyla's mirror and she was doing this!! ok ok it might not be that exciting.. but I thought it was pretty cool!! I guess 3 month old's start surprising their Momma's!

June first was my birthday. And Lyla's 3 month birthday! (can't forget baby.) We celebrated by sleeping in together:) hehe. And that afternoon I had a date with Kim and Kerri while Lyla hung out at grandma's. I had a great birthday and I can't wait to see what this next year brings!

A Memorial Day Wilgraf Weekend.... a week later.

Oh my.. is it Friday already?! I haven't even opened up my computer in over a WEEK. Yeah, I have a lot to catch up on! I've felt like a crazy person lately.. hopefully next week will be back to normal. Well, as normal as I get. So yeah, this post is about last weekend but I can't just skip it.. it was pretty eventful.. and I actually took some pics!

I honestly just sat here for about 5 minutes staring into the air wondering what I did last Friday.. yeah I can't remember.. so we'll skip that. :)

Saturday morning Brandon, Lyla and I ran to Red Bud to get some things done and pick up mulch. (Brandon was OFF on a Saturday for once! yay!) When we got back we were hard at work. Man, mulchin is hard work!!! It was like a 4 beer job I think.

Enough about work. That night Brandon and I got to go hang out by ourselves! We went on a good ole roadtrip, then hit up the Evansville winery. It was a great time.

Sunday Brandon had to go out to the farm and me and Lyla relaxed at home. That evening we had a little party at my mom's for my grandpa's birthday. We ate some yummy yummy ribs and Lyla chilled out in grandma's stroller on the deck with us. 

Monday Brandon took me out for my birthday because we knew he would have to spend the rest of the week at the farm.. We went and had lunch at Waterstreet with my parents and then they took Lyla home with them. From there we had a barbecue to go to and I think we hit every bar we knew. We had a great day together! Love him to pieces.
